CROYDON BME FORUM AND ELC ASSOCIATES ANNOUNCE JOINT DIGITAL MARKETING WORKSHOP FOR LOCAL CHARITIES AND COMMUNITY ORGANISATIONS
Croydon BME Forum and local BME led charity marketing company ELC Associates jointly announce Croydon’s only low cost charity digital marketing skills training workshop to be held at the Forum’s offices on 14 January 2019 from 9-12.30pm.
The workshop aim to help charities enhance their digital marketing skills so that they can improve sustainability, reach more beneficiaries, have greater local impact whilst saving money on marketing. In this ‘taster’ session, charities will learn how to harness the power of digital PR and content marketing.
Tayo Idowu of ELC Associates said “Many small charities are scared of the digital world, thinking it’s very expensive and the realms of so called ‘marketing gurus and so are therefore missing out on the huge opportunities technology can bring. Our aim is to dispel this mindset.”
He continues: “Through our low cost introductory sessions we hope to show charities that by acquiring basic digital marketing skills they can be more cost effective in the way they promote their services, engage with beneficiaries, supporters, volunteers and potential donors.”
.Andrew Brown of CEO – Croydon BME Forum adds: “We are delighted to be working with ELC Associates on this training to help local charities to improve their digital skills. Groups have requested this funding for the past six months and I am now happy to be able to work in partnership to deliver this training in the new year.”
“It was important that the training is in a workshop setting rather than virtual” comments Tayo, “as this will allow participants to share their digital experiences of what’s worked and what hasn’t. They’ll also be able to discuss some of their challenges and exchange tips on how they’ve overcome them. We really want to create a shared learning experience which you don’t get just staring at a screen on your own.”
The event is open to all Croydon based charities, community organisations, social enterprises and housing associations and will be held at Croydon BME Forum, 56A Mitcham Rd, Croydon CR0 3RG.
Tickets for the workshop are only £10 and are available on a first come basis by visiting www.elcassociates.co.uk. For more information call Training Manager on 0208 090 2233 / 0794 9529 231 or email studio@elcassociates.co.uk
